I have always wanted to explore the bridges & trails that go over and along the French River in Northern Ontario. So I grabbed a good friend and headed out in the bush. This is First Nations land and I was happy to see that it is still respected as such.
The Green snowmobile bridge was calling my name, so we hiked it, and took some silly pictures on the bridge. (Kids do not try this at home..or on a bridge)
It was a fun day, with great weather...the only part that gave me pause were the rattlesnake warnings, but we did not come across any in our day trip. Of course no trip to the French River is complete without a visit to the French River Trading Post. We had a great burger, some ice cream...and visited the gift shop. (Hint...Buy some fudge at the gift shop...swoons!!! You will not regret it) I bought myself a new pair of Mocs, so that I would be styling around the campfire later in the evening.
