Walk the Pine Grove Nature Trails
These trails offer an easy, peaceful walk through a mixed forest which is dominated by maple and other upland hardwood species, as well as hemlock & balsam. A few interpretive signs are found along the trail which talk about the various species of trees located in the area. Situated close to the Pickerel River, the property is a part of a historically significant area, replete with native culture, as well as evidence of early European settlements and logging practices which can still be seen today. Navigating the trails themselves is not difficult as most intersections are signed with arrow markers indicating the trail’s eventual destination. Hike the circle route or follow the old logging trail to the farm that runs from the resort to Pine Grove Road.
The trails are easy to moderate. Each trail is approx 3.4 km / 2.1 mi.
These trails are located at Pine Grove Resort
463 Pine Grove Rd. Port Loring, ON.
